Britney Spears' father is to maintain indefinite control of his daughter's financial assets – despite the singer's improved health.
James Spears took over Spears' personal and financial affairs in February after the singer was admitted to a psychiatric ward.
He had been due to surrender control on December 31st. However, a Los Angeles Court commissioner yesterday made the arrangement permanent.
Commissioner Reza Goetz said that recent medial evaluations had shown that Spears was "susceptible to undue influence."
The decision comes as Spears is set to embark on a major promotional campaign in support of her new album 'Circus', which is released in the UK on December 1st.
Earlier this month, James Spears represented his daughter in trial where it was alleged she had been caught driving without a valid Californian licence. The case ended in a mistrial.
