Phil Spector Murder Retrial To Begin On Wednesday

The opening statements in the murder retrial of music producer Phil Spector will begin on Los Angeles on Wednesday (October 29th).

Six alternate jurors were sworn in yesterday ( October 27th) as back up for the twelve regular jurors who were selected last week.

Spector is accused of shooting b-movie actress at his home in the state six years ago.

The original trial last year resulted in a hung jury. Spector, who is responsible for the pioneering Wall of Sound recording technique, denies murder.

His defence team argues that Clarkson killed herself as a result of her struggling acting career.

If found guilty, Spector could face up to 15 years in prison.
