    Craig David To Receive Honorary University Degree

    British R&B sensation Craig David is to receive an honorary degree from Southampton Solent University.

    The singer, who has sold more than 13million albums worldwide, will be made a Doctor of Music in recognition of his contribution to the music industry.

    David, who grew up in the city, originally shot to fame when he appeared on Garage act Artful Dodger's 'Rewind'.

    The musician will collect the honour at Southampton Guildhall next Friday. His family and friends are expected to be in attendance.

    David is scheduled to release his greatest hits album on November 24th.

    • I was really upset that our University was giving this guy a an honor, he's not well respected. Turns out to be the new Solent University down the road, still struggling for acceptance.
