US rapper 50 Cent has settled a long running dispute with his former girlfriend over the custody of their child.
The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, will see 11-year-old Marquise one weekend per month, as well as one month in the summer holiday.
Marquise will also vist his father for two week periods during winter and spring vacations, a Family Court in New York ruled yesterday (October 22nd).
Both Jackson and his ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, were satisfied with the agreement.
Jackson's lawyer, Brett Kimmel, told People that Jackson "looks forward to spending some quality time with his son."
The couple's troubles began in May when Tompkins claimed that the rapper was involved in a fire which broke out at a property where she and their son were staying.
An investigation into the fire at the property in Long Island, which was owned by the rapper, is still ongoing. Jackson denies being behind the blaze.
