Kaiser Chiefs guitarist Whitey has said he believes the band's hit single 'Ruby' overshadowed their last album.
The lead single to their 2007 album, 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob', became the band's first ever number one single.
However, in an interview with the Daily Star newspaper, the guitarist said it was detrimental to the rest of the album.
“We wrote the wrong album at the wrong time. The thing was that we had a huge single, 'Ruby', and it kind of overshadowed the album really,” he said.
Kaiser Chiefs released their third album, 'Off With Their Heads', on Monday (October 20th). The band are currently on a UK tour in support of the record.
