Lil Wayne 'Expecting A Son In A Couple Of Days'

US rapper Lil' Wayne told fans at the BET Hip-Hop awards in Atlanta on Saturday (October 18th) that he is expecting another child.

The rapper, who who three awards, made the surprise announcement during his acceptance speech for Lyricist of the Year, saying he was expecting a son in “a couple of days”.

He added later: "I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me."

As previously reported on Gigwise, the rapper also won MVP of the Year and People's Champ at the ceremony.

Rapper T.I. was one of a host of major names who appeared at the event. Last year, the rapper was forced to miss the ceremony after being arrested  on federal weapons charges.

He has since pleaded guilty to the charges and is due to be sentenced in March 2009.
