Former Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns is to be awarded damages after a series of lip injections left him looking “repulsive”.
Burns suffered a number of side effects, including swelling, blisters and granulomas, following operations between 2000 and 2004.
Burns' lawyer, Harriet Jerman, told the High Court last week that Dr Maurizio Viel, a Harley Street surgeon, had “admitted liability” in a letter.
She said the former Celebrity Big Brother star had needed "a very significant amount" of expense corrective treatment as a result of the operations.
And that the singer had been forced to sell his music back catalogue because he was unable to find work.
Burns has sued Dr Viel for a seven-figure sum. The value of his settlement is expected to decided next March.
