The Human League Announce New Album And Tour

The Human League have unveiled plans to release their first studio album in seven years.

The band, whose hits include 'Don't You Want Me', will also embark on an eleven date tour, which concludes in Sheffield on December 13th.

Speaking about their album plans, the band, who are currently unsigned, revealed that they were looking at new ways of releasing their material.

"We're all keen to put out new music, our only problem is, that the way we have traditionally put out music is not available to us anymore,” singer Joanna Catherall told BBC 6Music.

“It's quite scary having to think about it, because someone else has sort of run, we make the records, and someone else does everything else for us, and now we've got to do it all ourselves, and as everyone knows we're incredibly slow, and lazy."

The Human League's last album, 'Secrets', was released in 2001.

The Human League's tour dates are:

    Glasgow, Academy – November 30
    Newcastle, Academy – December 1
Nottingham, Royal Concert Hall - 3
    Liverpool, Echo Arena - 4
    Brighton, Centre - 5
    Bournemouth, Arena - 6
    London, Hammersmith Apollo - 8
    Manchester, Apollo - 10
    Wolverhampton, Civic - 11
    Newport, Centre - 12
Sheffield, Hallam FM Arena - 13
