Comedian Peter Kay has outsold former X-Factor contestant Leon Jackson with a song that mocks the reality TV show.
Kay, under the guise of Geraldine McQueen, went in at number two on the singles chart with 'The Winner's Song', one place higher than Jackson's debut single 'Don't Call This Love'.
However, both acts lost out to Pink, who held onto the number one spot for the third week with 'So What'.
Kay's song was first aired just over a week ago during the spoof reality TV show, Britain's Got the Pop Factor and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice.
In a statement last night, the comedian, speaking as McQueen, said: "Leon is a lovely wee boy, he's a Scottish Michael Buble. There's enough room for everybody.
"I never knew he had a song because I've been in hospital all week - he's not number one though is he? Isn't it Pink? I love Pink, although I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of her."
Meanwhile, in the album chart, Oasis' 'Dig Out Your Soul' was knocked off the top spot by Keane's new album 'Perfect Symmetry'.
