US R&B star Ne-Yo is to appear in a new movie entitled Venice Beach, it's been reported.
The singer is also understood to be in talks to executive produce and write the soundtrack for the film.
Venice Beach tells the story of a couple's blossoming romance which is questioned by friends.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paul Hunter, whose previous credits include music videos for Eminem, is expected to direct the film.
Ne-Yo's has previously appeared in 2007's Stomp The Yard. It's not clear when Venice Beach is expected to go into production.
