Katy Perry Dives Into Giant Cake At MTV Awards

American singer Katy Perry was left covered in cherry icing at the MTV Latin American Awards in Mexico last night after falling into a giant cake.

The singer dived into the almost life size construction after performing her hit single 'I Kissed A Girl'.

The singer emerged from the four-tier cake and promptly proceeded to coat her guitarist in its remains.


But it was Perry who was left embarrassed after she struggled to get back on her feet. Each time she tried to stand up the singer kept sliding back onto the stage.

After creating hysteria amongst the Mexican crowd, Perry finally left the stage on her hands and knees.
