Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel united on stage in New York last night to show why they believe Barack Obama is 'born to run' for US president.
The two singers performed each others songs at a fundraising event for the Democrat candidate.
Tracks in their set included Joel's 'New York State of Mind' and Springsteen's 'Born To Run', which the singer said was “for the senator”.
Other guests at the event included John Legend and Springsteen's wife, Patti Scialfa. But it was Mr Obama's appearance which stole the show at the end of the night.
The presidential hopeful said the crowd had witnessed a “magical evening” but warned his supporters not to become to confident as he continues to stretch his lead over Republican rival John McCain.
"Don't underestimate the capacity of Democrats to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Don't underestimate our ability to screw it up," Mr Obama told the crowd. "I want everybody running scared."
Springsteen and Joel's endorsement of Mr Obama is not the first time his campaign has received support from within the music industry.
