An exhibition of pop art pictures of Amy Winehouse has been unveiled in London.
The exhibition is the creation of artist Gerald Laing, who painted the images from newspaper cut-outs of the singer.
Laing told thelondonpaper that he was “fascinated” by Winehouse - who he described as an “icon”.
“Every time you see her, even when she has had a night on the tiles, certain things – her make-up, her beehive – are always intact,” he said.
Among the images is a shot of Winehouse hugging her mother, Jannis, after accepting a Grammy award last year. These is also a pop art piece of the singer visiting her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, in prison.
Laing, who has met the singer, is renowned for painting images which are inspired by celebrities and astronauts.
The exhibition's painting's cost upwards of £300,000 each.
