Leona Lewis And Dizzee Rascal Booed After Mobo's No Show

Leona Lewis and Dizzee Rascal were both booed by guests at last night's Mobo awards after they failed to collect their awards in person.

Lewis, a former winner of the reality TV show The X Factor, won Best Video and Best Album for her debut 'Spirit', while Dizzee Rascal was awarded Best Male.

However, neither artist attended the ceremony at London's Wembley Arena, much to the frustration of the audience.

When Lewis failed to collect her prizes, the shows host, Spice Girl Mel B, told the audience: "Stop giving Leona Lewis a hard time you lot. It's not her fault she can't be here. Stop it."

Organisers had already blamed Lewis and Dizzee Rascal's touring schedules for their absence.

As previously reported on Gigwise, other winners last night included Lil' Wayne, Estelle and Chris Brown.
