Weezer's guitarist Brian Bell has dismissed rumours that the band are to return to the studio following their current US tour.
Reports had claimed they were due to record a quick follow-up to their latest Red album, which was released earlier this year.
But Bell told Spinner that someone had “jumped the gun” and that the group were still focussed on promoting their current album.
”When we have the songs and the time feels right, we'll record,” he added.
Bell also revealed that the dynamic "within the band has shifted towards being more collaborative, and a safer place for people to bring ideas to and actually be heard."
As previously reported on Gigwise, Weezer recently broke a number of world records filming the video to their new single 'Troublemaker'.
