Channel 4 have scrapped plans to move into the digital radio market because of a sharp fall in advertising revenues.
The broadcaster had hoped to launch three stations, beginning with E4 Radio next Spring.
Channel 4 chief executive Andy Duncan said the decision, which will see the loss of 15 jobs, had been taken “very reluctantly”.
But he didn't discount the broadcaster launching the stations at a later date.
It's understood the decision will help save the broadcaster almost £10million in 2009, the BBC reports.
