The Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture will unveil his solo side project for the first time in London next week.
Fraiture's act, Nickel Eye, will play the Borderline on October 15th alongside The Brian Jacket Letdown.
The announcement follows confirmation of Nickel Eye's deal the record label Rykodisc, who will release his debut album, 'The Time of the Assassins', next January.
Fraiture is the latest Stroke to persue a side-project after Albert Hammond Jr, Julian Casablancas and Fabrizio Moretti.
As previously reported on Gigwise, The Strokes are expected to return to the studio next year to record their fourth studio album.
