Britney Spears is to speak about her recent personal problems in a new documentary on MTV.
The interview, to be shown on November 30th, will see the singer touch on her custody battle over her two children, as well as her admittance to hospital last Spring.
"I sit there and I look back and I'm like, 'I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?" she says in the documentary.
Spears also says in the programme that there is “a lot that people don't know”.
On her life as a celebrity, she says:"I'm kind of stuck in this place and it's like, how do you deal? And you just cope, and that's what I do. I just cope with it, every day.”
The interview is the first Spears has given in support of her new album, 'Circus', which is released on December 2nd - her 27th birthday.
After her tumultuous personal issues, the singer is now vying to regain her crown as the princess of pop. Last month she took home three awards at the MTV VMA awards.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Spears will appear on the UK edition of the X-Factor to coincide with the LP's release.
