Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has said he can no longer “be bothered” to talk about the band's rivalry with Oasis.
The two British groups have been involved in a war of words since August when Oasis' Noel Gallagher compared the Leeds band to the Monkees.
The Kaiser Chiefs then responded, joking about Gallagher's age and the timing of his comments - just before the release of Oasis' new album.
But Wilson told BBC Newsbeat that the rivalry had had all become a bit too much.
"It was quite exciting at first but now I just can't be bothered talking about it anymore,” he said.
"This is the band I grew up with and they're one of the biggest bands in the world and one of my favourites."
“I read things that I supposedly said and it doesn't even sound like my voice. It just frustrates me. I can't go into an interview now without talking about it."
As previously reported on Gigwise, Kaiser Chiefs kicked off their UK tour last night with a performance at the new Leeds Academy.
