Oasis Noel Gallagher has revealed that the band are planning to announce a “supergig”, which will take place in Manchester.
The group, who all hail from the city, surprised fans by omitting the venue from their current UK tour.
But Gallagher told the BBC that they ignored the city “because we've got a supergig planned for next summer in Manchester”.
The guitarist said he he wouldn't reveal any more details about the gig. “I bet if I give you 500 guesses you'll never guess where it'll be,” he said bashfully.
Oasis' last performance in Manchester was at the City of Manchester stadium in 2005.
The band are currently touring the UK in support of their new album 'Dig Out Your Soul', which is set to be number one this Sunday.
