Britney Spears’ attorney has turned down a plea offer on the misdemeanor driver’s license case against the singer according to The Associated Press.
Spears would have been placed on probation for a year and paid a $150 fine, but Spears’ attorney, J. Michael Flannagan will consider an offer that leaves Spears with a $10 fine and reducing the charges to an infraction.
This charge is the last of many from Los Angeles city prosecutors after Spears hit a parked car and fled the scene without notifying the owner in August 2007.
Flannagan claims Spears is being unfairly targeted due to her celebrity status.
