Singer/guitarist Jim James of My Morning Jacket has been released from the hospital after falling at a recent concert at the University of Iowa.
According to Cedar Rapids newspaper 'The Gazette', James slipped and fell approximately 30 minutes into the band’s show on Tuesday, October 7 between songs, causing him to hit his head.
Drummer Patrick Hallahan took to the stage 10 minutes after the fall and informed the crowd the remainder of the concert would be cancelled.
"Jim was really hurt, he's heading to the hospital," stated Hallahan. "We're really sorry, this has never happened before."
A spokesperson for the hospital stated James has been treated and released.
