Oasis' new album 'Dig Out Your Soul' looks set to become one of the fastest selling records of 2008.
Early figures show that the band's first album since 2005 sold nearly 90,000 copies in its first day on Monday.
The record is outselling the UK's current number one, 'Only By The Night' by Kings of Leon, by nearly five units to one.
Coldplay currently hold claim to the fastest selling album of the year with 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends'.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Oasis kicked off their UK tour in Liverpool last night. The band were introduced to fans by boxer Ricky Hatton.
