Only one day of In The City has passed but Gigwise has already seen one of our tips to make waves over the next 12 months – step forward Dutch Uncles.
After a last minute tip off we headed down to the Night & Day to catch their set last night and we can see why they’re already starting to get a lot of attention from the A& R types.
The Stockport based quintet make highly intelligent, staccato indie-pop and are playing the Deaf Institute on Tuesday (October 7) if you wish to catch them again at ITC.
Elsewhere Fenech Soler and Little Boots also impressed, playing to packed crowds at One Central Street and Studio respectively.
Gigwise is suffering from a severe hangover and being woken by the nosiest hotel cleaners known to man this morning but we’re ready for day two.
Here are our tips:
I Am Austin – 7:45pm @ Bedlam
Stars And Sons – 8:15pm @ Moho Live
Your Twenties – 9pm @ The Deaf Institute
Soft Toy Emergency – 9:15pm @ One Central Street
Ark People – 9:15pm @ Night & Day
Dash Delete – 10:15pm @ Chicago Rock Café
My Toys Like Me – 10:15pm @ Studio
Lesser Panda – 11pm @ Studio
Baddies – 11:45pm @ Studio
