Like birds flying south for the winter every October the music industry, normally too scared to venture no further north than the Kentish Town Forum, migrates to Manchester.
By car, bus, train or plane they’re all heading to In The City and today is the day it all begins.
Over the next few days hundreds of unsigned bands will be plying their wares across the city in the hope of catching an A&R man’s ear.
A host of established acts and recently hyped bands will also be entertaining us after the daytime talks and seminars have finished.
Gigwise will be here for all three days bringing you news, reviews and a rundown of the hottest new talent to emerge from ITC.
First up though we’ve got a few tips for the opening night of gigs:
Magic Arm - 3:30pm @ Night & Day
Silverclub - 8:45pm @ Cellar Vie
To The Bones - 9:30pm @ Cellar Vie
Fenech Soler - 10pm @ One Central Street
Vessels - 10:15pm @ Cellar Vie
The Brute Chorus - 10:45pm @ One Central Street
Micachu and the Shapes - 11:45pm @ Chicago Rock Cafe
