Sir Paul McCartney will make a special guest appearance on comedian Peter Kay's new television show, it's been reported.
The former Beatles star has apparently filmed a number of scenes for the programme.
Sources say the pair were first introduced at Sir Paul's recent performance at Anfield stadium in Liverpool.
“Peter asked him if he could spare a day to do some filming,” a source told the Daily Mirror newspaper. “He loved the idea. He is a fan of Peter’s work. Getting Macca is a big coup.”
Kay's new show, entitled Britain’s Got The Pop Factor And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice, is a spoof of the reality TV culture.
Kaiser Chiefs and presenter Cat Deeley are also expected to appear.
