A civil servant who allegedly wrote a blog in which he described the rape and murder of Girls Aloud is to be prosecuted.
35-year-old Darryn Walker's story, Girls (Scream) Aloud, was apparently published on a porn website.
Walker, who is due to appear in Newcastle Crowd Court in the coming weeks, faces prosecution under the Obscene Publications Act.
According to the Independent, the Internet Watch Foundation were originally alerted to the blog's existence and the case was then brought forward by Scotland Yard's Obscene Publications Unit.
The story allegedly details the kidnapping, mutilation, rape and murder of the group, who have become one of the UK's most successful girl bands.
