Gary Glitter 'Evicted From Mayfair Flat After Neighbours Complain'

Disgraced pop star Gary Glitter has been evicted from a £2,000-a-week flat in London's Mayfair, it's been reported.

Glitter moved into the property last week but neighbours are said to have complained when they discovered they were living near the convicted paedophile.

“It turned out certain neighbours objected to him being there,” a source told the Sun newspaper.

“I mean, would you pay over a million quid for a flat to find out Gary Glitter has moved in next door? Talk about driving down your property price.”

Last week, Glitter had an application to travel to Spain via France turned down by magistrates in Kent.

Glitter's place on the sex offenders register means he has to inform authorities before he is allowed to travel abroad.

Glitter was deported back to the UK from Vietnam last month after serving nearly three years behind bars for child molestation.

He was jailed in March 2006 for molesting two girls aged eleven and twelve. His sentence was reduced by Vietnamese authorities last year.
