Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barat has confirmed that he is to star in a new British film.
Barat, who recently filmed an appearance for the movie Telstar, said he was looking forward to shooting the project.
"I have something coming up. It's a very different direction [to 'Telstar'] – a part you really would not expect me to play which makes it very exciting,” he told the Sunday Mail.
"I'll be playing a scientist in a new British film which will be weird but cool."
Telstar, which features Kevin Spacy, tells the story of producer Joe Meek and will premiere at next month's London Film Festival.
