A security officer is to keep regular vigil over the final resting place of Doors singer Jim Morrison after the grave was vandalised by fans.
Morrison died from a suspected overdose in Paris in 1971 and was buried in the city's Pere Lachaise graveyard.
Since his death, thousands of Doors fans have visited the grave in order to pay tribute to the singer, with many laying tributes and graffiti messages.
Their presence has angered the relatives of other people buried in the cemetery.
According to the Telegraph, French authorities have hired a security officer to prevent any further damage to other graves.
The move comes after an attempt to exhume the singer's body and transfer the tomb was halted after authorities discovered it had been leased in perpetuity.
Morrison is one of the artists featured in Gigwise's 27 Club Feature. CLICK HERE to see which other musicians lost their lives at the young age.
