Oasis are to close this year's BBC Electric Proms with a unique performance, organisers have revealed.
The band will be accompanied by the Crouch End Festival Chorus at London's Roundhouse on October 26th.
The show will support their new album 'Dig Out Your Soul'.
The band's guitarist Noel Gallagher promised that the night “should be good”, adding: “Ennio Morricone uses [the Crouch End Festival Chorus] for his spaghetti western stuff in England, so I’m already looking forward to that because I’ve never played the Roundhouse and I’ve never done the Proms.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Keane, The Last Shadow Puppets and Tony Christie will all headline shows at the festival.
As will Razorlight and Burt Bacharach, who will play live alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra.
For the first time, Liverpool will also host the concerts to coincide with the city's reign as the European Capital of Culture 2008.
In total, over 80 artists will perform during the festival.
Tickets for the show go on sale tomorrow (September 30th) at 8.15am and will be available through Gigwise here.
