Britney Spears Set To Make X Factor Appearance

Britney Spears will make a special guest appearance on the X Factor, a spokesperson for the show has confirmed.

The date for the singer's appearance has yet to be confirmed – but it likely to coincide with the December 2nd release of her new album, 'Circus'.

Gigwise first reported that Spears, who is preparing to make her second pop comeback in 12 months, was target of X Factor bosses earlier this month.

The new series of the popular reality television show will also feature guest judge appearances from Spice Girl Emma Bunton and Girls Aloud's Kimberly Walsh.

Meanwhile, the first song from Spears' new album, 'Womanizer', will make its US radio debut later today.

Interest in Spears has increased since she scooped three prizes at this month's MTV Video Music Awards.
