Akon Signs British Rapper Sway To US Record Label

US rapper Akon has signed Sway to his American based record label Kon Live.

Akon's label will be responsible for publishing the British rapper's music everywhere expect the UK and Europe.

The deal follows the recent American success of a host of British singers including Estelle, whose career received a boost when she was signed to John Legend's label.

As a result of the new deal, Sway's forthcoming album, 'Signature', has been delayed so that it can include a new collaboration with Akon, 'Silver and Gold'.

The album will now be released on October 6th.
