The Police, Beyonce Top List Of Richest Musicians

The Police have topped the world’s richest musicians for the year of 2008 earning a whopping $115 million from their reunion tour for the year according to Forbes Magazine.

The rankings were based on how much a musicians earned between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008.

Coming in second on the list was Beyonce with $80 million from her vast amount of endorsements including cosmetics giant Loreal and Emporio Armani’s fragrance ‘Diamonds’.

Rounding out the top 5 are country star Toby Keith with $48 million, Justin Timberlake with $44 million and Madonna with $40 million.

I think these lists should be based on the money they earn from actual music based activities, not from endorsements and perfume. Seriously that is just stupid.
