Michelle Williams Rubbishes Destiny's Child Reunion Hopes

Michelle Williams has denied that she plans to reform with her former Destiny's Child band mates to record new material.

Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland said recently that the girl group would return in 2009 with a new album.

But Williams has now been quoted as saying that she's more interested in continuing with her solo career.

"I haven't heard anything about a Destiny's Child reunion. I'm focusing on me now and want to stand on my own two feet,” she said.

"I'm definitely carving out my own niche. I don't look to them for anything. I've got a long way to go cos I'm starting over but I'm happy for it to build slowly."

The girl-group’s final album ‘Destiny Fulfilled’ was released in 2004.

Since they parted company, each member has launched successful solo careers, with frontwoman Beyonce Knowles also achieving notoriety as an actress.
