Madonna has had the entire stock of towels from her Sticky & Sweet world tour confiscated by border officials in Montenegro, according to reports.
The singer, who is due to perform at the countries Budva city stadium tomorrow, tours with 300 designer towels for use after her performances.
But officials are understood to have raised suspicions by the number that the singer was trying to take into the country.
“The customs people had never come across that kind of volume of towels for personal use before, or the cost given for them,” a source told the Sun newspaper.
“People in Montenegro just aren’t used to spending that much on a towel.”
Madonna's 27-date tour called in the UK earlier this month, but the singer's London date was widely criticised by fans.
