Google have unveiled the first mobile phone to use their Android operating software.
The G1 features a touch screen and a full slide out Qwerty keyboard - and will be available for free to T-Mobile customers who pay monthly tariffs of £40 or more.
The mobile phone is seen as a direct rival to Apple's second generation edition of the iPhone.
Like the iPhone, the G1 allows users to zoom in by tapping on the screen and will also feature a market place where users can download applications.
The camera features a 3x megapixel camera compared to Apple's 2x megapixel lens.
The G1 will be available to customers in the UK in time for Christmas.
