Babyshambles' Pete Doherty Wooed First Love With Chess Moves

Pete Doherty's childhood sweetheart, Emily Baker, has revealed how the Babyshambles frontman wooed her with his impressive chess moves.

Baker and Doherty were reunited at the weekend for the first time since their school days at St Leonard’s School in Dorset.

Baker told the Sun newspaper that Doherty hadn't changed much but was definitely taller than the 11-year-old she remembered.

“I remember him being an incredible dancer and really good at chess and football. My mate’s still got one of his QPR football scarves,” she said.

“At school he was a bit cheeky and always took things too far.”

Doherty recalled his relationship with Baker in a recent interview, in which he said he had “fancied her like mad” when they were at school.
