Eddie Vedder has penned a song for Chicago baseball team the Cubs at the request of team legend Ernie Banks.
The song, titled ‘All The Way’, has been getting play in many local Chicago sports bars and radio station in support of the team.
According to the band’s official website, they have decided to make the song available for fans to download and are also looking into pressing souvenir 45 and CD singles.
Vedder is a life-long Cubs fan, even singing ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’ at four of the team’s games since 1998 and throwing out the first pitch at Wrigley Field before Pearl Jam’s 2007 Lollapalooza performance.
