Metallica's ninth studio album 'Death Magnetic' has now gone to number one in a mightily impressive 18 countries.
As well as the United States and Great Britain, the long-player has peaked at the top spot in Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden and Turkey.
Yet more number one rankings are set to roll in over the weekend, due to the fact that 'Death Magnetic' was only released this week in many countries.
As previously reported, the album sold over 500,000 copies to take the US number one, while it shifted 76,000 in just two days in the UK.
It's expected to retain the top spot in the UK this weekend, thanks to their incredible launch party at the O2 Arena and appearance alongside Carla Bruni on the BBC show Later With... Jools Holland.
