The Wombats are set to release a Christmas single this December.
Titled 'Is This Christmas', the single will be released as a download and on CD and 7” on December 15 - just in time to make the race for Christmas number one.
The Liverpool-based band are likely to face stiff competition from the X Factor winner however, with all Christmas number ones coming from the show over the past three years thanks to Shayne Ward, Leona Lewis and Leon Jackson.
Aside from the Christmas track, a new Wombats single called 'My Circuitboard City' will be released on February 9.
Produced by Tore Johansson, the song is said to represent “a darker and more mature side to the band, with lyrics encompassing the experiences of the surreal, and often lonely, life of a band on the road.”
Tickets for the band's November UK tour which takes in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Liverpool are available through Gigwise by clicking the link above.
