Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has tipped Britney Spears to take over again when she releases her new studio album.
Spears, who is due to release 'Circus' on her 27th birthday, December 2nd, has faced a year of personal problems, including an ongoing custody battle over her two children.
But earlier this month the singer took home three prizes at the MTV Video Music Awards and was praised after she appeared looking in better health.
Writing on her personal blog, Williams said she was “stoked” to have met Spears at the ceremony, where Paramore narrowly missed out on an award.
“She looked gorgeous and it was nice to have the biggest female pop artist back in the game,” Williams wrote. “I’m ready for her to take over again, man.”
Williams also revealed that the group are currently recording songs that may appear on the soundtrack to the movie Twilight, which is based on a novel about vampires.
"We are back home. Recording again for a possible shot at the Twilight soundtrack. The rumours are a little less than true but a little more than a lie," she explained.
