Foo Fighters To Take 'Career Hiatus' After Led Zeppelin Show
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl says the band intend to take a long break following their recent shows at London's Wembley Stadium.
The band performed two sold out concerts at the famous venue in June - and were joined on the second night by Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones.
Grohl told BBC Radio One that he thought it was time the band took a step back from their career because “we've never really taken a long break”.
"After doing Wembley we shouldn't come back there for 10 years because we've played to everybody," he said.
"It's a funny place being in the band now because we've been a band for about 14 years.
"We've gone from playing the Astoria, to playing Earls Court to playing Wembley. That wasn't really the goal but hey, we'll take it.
"We're over in the UK every year, every summer so I think it's time to take a break and come back over when people really miss us."
Page and Jones perform the Led Zeppelin songs ‘Ramble On’ and ‘Rock and Roll’ during their appearance with the Foo Fighters, which can now be seen on DVD.
