MySpace Music has announced they have teamed up with four major ad sponsors to support the costs of streaming free music to the millions of current MySpace users.
McDonald’s, Sony Pictures, State Farm and Toyota will all be contributing to the new music service by sponsoring personal music players, free downloads and song playlists.
Speaking to Reuters, Jeff Berman, president of sales and marketing at MySpace, stated, "With MySpace Music integration, premium brands are offering our users and their customers new ways to discover, experience, and share music online and offline.”
The service, which was announced in April of 2008, will offer a one-stop shop to music fans with a range of free downloads, tickets, merchandise, and streaming music.
