MGMT have set the record straight about the recent rumors that The Chemical Brothers will be producing their upcoming album.
Speaking out via their MySpace blog, the band states, “Also, contrary to another internet rumor, though they be rad dudes, the Chemical Brothers will not be producing MGMT's next album.”
The band also revealed the reasoning behind their recent cancellation at the SoCo Music Festival in Albany, New York; drummer Will Berman injured his foot, making him unable to play.
Berman suffered the injury by "jumping from the curb to the street”.
MGMT is set to begin working on their follow up to ‘Oracular Spectacular’ in the beginning of 2009.
