Amy Winehouse Fails To Show For Own Birthday Party

Amy Winehouse disappointed members of her family and friends on Saturday (September 13th) after she failed to turn up for her own birthday party.

Winehouse, who turned 25 yesterday (September 14th), had been due to celebrate the occasion at London's Jazz After Dark.

But the singer is reported to have refused to leave her home in Camden, despite three taxis being dispatched to collect her.

“Amy was standing in front of the mirror telling everyone how rough she looked. Unfortunately her lifestyle has had a major affect on her appearance and it’s only just started to sink in,” a friend told the Sun newspaper.

“She kept saying she was ugly and was in an awful state. They couldn’t get her out.”

Producer Mark Ronson, singer Adele and Winehouse's mother, Janis, were all apparently invited to the party in Soho.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Winehouse sparked fresh health fears when she DJ'd in Camden on Thursday.

Her family should have her involuntarily committed. If they don’t do this, she will die. Her relatives are either complete idiots or they are afraid to commit her because she might cut them off financially.

Her friends made a mistake by orgainising a surprise party for Amy, as Mark Ronson said jazz after Dark is her favourite Soho bar and if they had planned it with her she would have prepared herself mentally physically for the night. Amy likes to do things her own way she knows that Sam Shaker the resident artist had prepared two oil portraits for her. One of her beloved nan Cynthia & one of her and Blake called sentimental moods. sam delivered both portraits & the cake to her
