As scientists in Switzerland continue their bid to recreate the conditions of the universe moments after the Big Bang, it's time to look at the songs we should all be listening to.
Over the years, a whole host of musicians have been inspired both lyrically and musically by the possibility of impending doom.
And now the reality of the world's end is fast approaching (according to some sceptics), Gigwise has been getting nostalgic.
