Lily Allen has promised to eat her own hat if scientists in Switzerland successful recreate the conditions of the universe moments after the Big Bang.
Scientists successfully began the experiment using the Large Hadron Collider at 9.30am this morning.
If successful, it's hoped results will shed new light on some of physics most difficult, and as-yet-unanswered, questions.
Writing on her Myspage blog, Allen said: “If these wormholes appear I will personally eat the hat I was given for my first birthday before I received it.”
The origins of today's experiment can be traced back to the 1980s but high costs and construction problems have hampered the £5billion venture.
