Lily Allen and Sir Elton John exchanged an angry war of words onstage at the GQ Men of the Year awards in London last night (September 2nd).
The pair, who were co-hosting the ceremony at the Royal Opera House, fell out after Sir Elton joked about Allen's excessive drinking.
When Allen said to the crowd “and now to the most important part of the night," Sir Elton interjected, saying: “What? Are you going to have another drink?”
Visibly angry, Allen said: “**** off Elton. I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me!”
He then responded: “I could still snort you under the table,” to which Allen replied: “**** off. I don't know what you are talking about.”
Allen is also reported to have later told the audience about her brother's engagement, which has yet to be publicly announced.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Led Zeppelin, Mark Ronson and the Killers' Brandon Flowers all walked away with honours from the ceremony.
An Inspiration award was also given to the veteran performer Tony Bennett.
