Lily Allen has thanked the Metropolitan police for ending the apparent kidnapping of one of her closest friends.
Allen's friend and another male companion are said to have been abducted at gunpoint in West London at the beginning of August.
They were then held for a week at a house in Thamesmead before being police launched a successful operation to free the pair.
Writing about the incident, Allen said: "Thank you to the Met for getting my friend back.
"We were all terrified and from what I hear you guys did an amazing job."
Five men have appeared in court over the incident on charges relating to kidnapping, according to the BBC.
